Research on newts

In 2016, we started a research project with the aim of understanding newts behavior at night and what type of food they are looking for in summer. A particular effective thermal camera with zoom functions was installed near a concrete ring, which is a mini pond specifically designed for newts. In addition, we landscaped habitats that benefit newts of their time on land from autumn to spring.

We are looking forward to spring 2017, where we will monitor the arrival of our newts to their new "homepond."
