We have worked with wetlands in the agricultural landscape since the beginning of the 1990s. Our expertise and experience include both the practical aspects of farming, and the ecological and environmental issues. This is necessary in order to be able to give good advice to farmers regarding the combination of environmental measures with an effective and economic farming.

John has a PhD in Limnology (freshwater ecology) with aquatic plants as speciality. Peter has a MSc in Agriculture and specialises in the development of large projects, and the technical aspects of wetland construction.

We work as consultants for landowners, municipalities, county administrations and governmental agencies (e.g. the Swedish EPA).

          Our wetland work includes:

• consultative work and advice to farmers regarding wetlands

• planning and designing wetlands including initial surveys

• contacts with authorities

• supervision of the contractor in the field during the wetland construction

• wetland surveys, investigations and analysis

• management plans for constructed wetlands

• restoration of wetlands

• courses, presentations and lectures on wetland construction and wetland ecology

          We also work with:

• measures to increase the biological diversity in the agricultural landscape

• projects for biological diversity in municipalities

• investigations and surveys of birds in the agricultural landscape

• surveys for buffer zones and controlled drainage in watersheds/drainage basins

• assessment of restoration measures for lakes

• reviews and knowledge compilations for the Swedish EPA

• teaching at ecology and limnology courses in universities
